All in all, it's amazing the amount of content that's packed into this game -- this is more than a sequel, even while including a redux of the first game's three movies. There's a little bit of something for everyone here, be it the completionist, level-builder, or those who simply like to explore the Indiana Jones world. And most of all, Lego Indiana Jones 2 manages to do something I never thought possible -- it makes Kingdom of the Crystal Skull not terrible. Truly, this is a treasure of a game.
Once the story is out of the way the real fun begins with a huge variety of puzzles and mini-quests to complete on each hub. Hours of fun and worth a go even if you own the original.
LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is a far superior sequel and a truly enjoyable LEGO title that gamers of all ages will relish on their Xbox 360. Thanks to the new level editor and loads of levels that span the four Indy films, this is the LEGO Indiana Jones game you will definitely want to buy.

Indy 2 is well worth the money. Lego is fun, Indiana Jones is fun and if you put them together you get nothing but FUN FUN FUN !! It's a shame that there is no Live Co-op and that to me is the only disappointment this game has or in this case has not got to offer.
Even so, there's little need to make your own stages. The game is already full of them, and they kept me plenty busy throughout. The established Lego game design wasn't broken, but, after so many games, it was beginning to get a bit stale. Those used to the previous titles might feel a bit disoriented at first, but you'll soon settle in and begin having fun exploring the large hubs and condensed levels. Now here's the big question: how long before we can expect a Lego version of "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles"?
There is a lot of content packed into this package. It will take quite a few hours to play through all four movies, and once you complete them all, it's worth going back to solve the puzzles that stumped you the first time around to pick up the many items you missed or simply couldn't afford. And when you finish with the developer-made content, you can build you own epic adventure from scratch. Lego Indiana Jones 2 is the proper way to remake an already-entertaining product. Even the cooperative aspect has been improved by allowing players to wander off alone. This splits the screen in two and the halves expand and rotate depending on where you're standing and what tasks need to be accomplished. By building and expanding upon the elements that made the original so darn fun, the second Indy adventure is better in every way. This is a great adventure whether you're a returning veteran to the Lego franchise or are looking to grab a Lego whip for the first time.
Certain issues bring it down, and overall I'm not as taken with it as I was LEGO Batman, but you're unlikely to find a better child-friendly game on the market this Christmas (and I say that fully aware of New Super Mario Bros). At times it's quite fantastic: remember the scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark - the one where the guy flails a sword around for ages and then Indy just shoots him. In this he goes to take the shot only to discover he's holding a banana. Brilliant. LEGO Indiana Jones 2 is much more than a simple stop-gap, bringing a wealth of content, some tweaks and even open-world concepts to the table, but ultimately I can't help but feel more excited about how these features will be implemented into next year's offering.
Lego Indiana Jones 2 is yet another solid addition to the Lego games formula and a great game for the younger gamers who might have liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The gameplay improvements were a welcome change and the new split screen is an essential new addition to Lego games. However, without the characters or story to hold it up, the game doesn't reach the height of its predecessors. The Lego series have been on a roll lately, I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
To conclude, whilst gamers would have preferred a new LEGO title all together, LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is another decent title to build into your collection. The improvements in co-operative play and the inclusion of new vehicles make this a worthy purchase, even for returning players, who may feel cheated having already played through three of the storylines within the game.
Cheat Code Central
Whatever its flaws, this game does a decent enough job of walking the line between sticking to the formula and mixing things up. The developers will need to refine some of the changes in future installments; in particular, the "where do I go now?" problem is serious, especially for very young children with short attention spans. Regardless, it's refreshing to see them try something new for a change, and given the constant stream of LEGO-themed games, the franchise has aged surprisingly well.
Official Xbox Magazine (UK)
The arrival of the extensive level, character and adventure editors builds on the previous game's accomplishments like so many deftly placed two by threes, but Lego Indy 2 isn't as compelling a purchase as its predecessor. On the other hand, if you've dropped the first game into a pit of CGI ants, here's your replacement.
Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues was always going to feel a bit desperate, making the most out of a small amount of new content, but Traveller's Tales has done a decent job. There's nothing repeated here from the previous game, but the versions of the original trilogy are confusing and the Crystal Skull will appeal mainly to younger gamers and not nostalgic old-timers. So while it's not quite up there with the best in the Lego series, The Adventure Continues is still a fun romp, especially if you plan to play with some younger family members.
In many ways it's the superior game, but many kids will struggle to feel the benefit thanks to the stodgy pacing and slack signposting. Hopefully Harry Potter's turn in the knobbly plastic spotlight in 2010 will iron out the kinks, and deliver the epic LEGO game at which this latest Indy tantalisingly hints.
While it's still fun to smash up bricks with a friend, Lego Indiana Jones 2 doesn't do much to depart from the formula. It's also a bit more repetitive than past titles. With co-op play at its core, the lack of online options holds it back, and returning to Indiana Jones with a focus on the worst film in the series probably wasn't the best choice for a new Lego adventure.

Overall, it's hard to say if LEGO Indiana Jones 2 is particularly recommendable. I doubt that anyone is dying for the chance to play through Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but it is cool to get locations from the original trilogy even if they are on the short side. I liked the boss fights, but then again there are those driving levels - shudder. I guess it all averages out to average in the end.
I don’t think the LEGO video-game formula has been tapped out, because, as noted, there’s a lot of fun in LEGO Indy 2. However, for whatever reason, the gameplay doesn’t seem to have been tested enough to weed out these fairly routine design flaws, because there are some serious usability issues that stand in the way of a what could have been a much better adventure. Hopefully, Traveller’s Tales will crack the whip before taking on another “Indiana Jones” trek.
Game Informer Magazine
If you’ve been waiting to explore these creative features, LEGO Indiana Jones 2 delivers in a big way. For other LEGO enthusiasts, keep collecting those studs in LEGO Star Wars or find that last unlockable LEGO Batman character. Indy’s newest adventure wasn’t built to last.

Despite featuring a number of gameplay improvements and trying to reinvent the LEGO formula, ultimately LEGO Indiana Jones 2 lacks the substance and appeal of previous entries.
Planet Xbox 360
This also cuts off any possibility of extending the gameplay beyond what you can do yourself, by not allowing you to download friend creations. It is not anywhere near the level of complexity of Little Big Planet, but the level creation could have definitely made up for a lot of the game's ills if opened to the Live community. LEGO Indiana Jones 2 feels like a cash-grab, tossing a half-baked version of a well-liked franchise out to retail just in time for unsuspecting parents to purchase. Do your little gamer a favor and avoid this one like a pit of snakes.
LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues falls short because not only is it a game that no one asked for, but it's also a game that's mostly already been done. The first LEGO Indiana Jones title did a fair job of showcasing the first three films, meaning that this time around, they're little more than hollow shells. While "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is getting the block treatment for the first time, did anyone really want to play a game based on that abomination of a movie? Furthermore, the game brings very few new ideas to the table, and those that it does showcase mostly fall flat. While the new hubs are a fun idea, they're somewhat difficult to navigate, and any joy they bring is more than offset by the frustration and annoyance of the vehicle levels.
I’m not quite sure what to think of the Lego franchise after playing through Lego Indiana Jones 2. What once was an incredibly fun set of games has become a monotonous experience that’s more about going through the motions than it is about having a good time. Even with all the new features, there’s just not enough here to advance the Lego brand, and a game that should have set a new bar for the series ends up being another also ran. I was hoping that this game would start an upward trend for the Lego series, but now I’m not even sure where they can take the next one. Like the Indiana Jones movies, stick with the original. This is one sequel that just doesn’t hold a candle to its predecessor.
Venduto, peraltro, a prezzo intero.
LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues does try to do a few new things, but Traveller's Tales messed with the wrong stuff and essentially broke a solid, if aging, formula. The lack of secrets in the main levels is a mistake, the new hub worlds are confusing and the level editor is just short of being pointless. If you haven't already played it, the original LEGO Indiana Jones is a much better purchase.
