DescriptionMagic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers is a digital card game based on the collectible card game called Magic: The Gathering. It is the fifth installment in the Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers series.
The gameplay is very similar to the other installments. The player has a set of cards, which in turn are a deck. This deck features cards with creatures and spells. The goal is to use these strategically to bring down the health pool of the enemy to zero. Enemies can be used as a defensive line, to protect the player's health pool. Spell cards can be used to buff creatures, do direct damage or grant other bonuses.
Unlike the previous installment Magic 2014: Duels of the Planeswalkers, this game features fully customizable decks and use in game booster packs to unlock additional cards. Players can also use micro-transactions to boost their card sets.
The game mainly features the same game modes, a single-player campaign mode and multiplayer planeswalker duels. The game however does not feature the Two-Headed Giant co-op mode from the previous installments, much to the discontent of many players.
The mobile versions are distributed for free, but only include a part of the content. The rest of the content has to be unlocked with micro-transactions.
