Description

Scene It? Box Office Smash is the sequel to Scene It? Lights, Camera, Action on the same platform. It is a party trivia game adaptation of the DVD-based party game of the same name. It is offered a solus title to comes bundled the 4 Big Button Pads that were also included with the previous game. Scene It? has 22 different puzzle types, and adds games for 16 players (on 4 consoles) through Xbox LIVE. It was updated to allow players to use their Xbox LIVE Avatars when NXE was released.

Most of the puzzles in the game involve selecting one of four multiple choice answers to a trivia question about movies. Many of the puzzles are simple text questions, others have players viewing a movie clip, listening to an audio sample, or unscrambling an anagram. One of the puzzle types new to Box Office Smash, Pixel Flix, has players identify a movie based on a pixelated animation that evokes early computer adventure games. Another new puzzle, Crosswords, has players filling in a crossword puzzle as nearby letters gradually appear, making the clue more obvious as time goes on. Approximately half of the puzzles require allow the first player to buzz-in to offer an answer, the other half let all players answer simultaneously.
