Description

Tatakai Tank Rush! is a real-time strategy that depicts a fictional war between Japan and Russia. The only available game mode is a one against one match, either against another player or the AI.

The starting point of every match are refineries which gather resources from the ground. However, resources are only available on a few spots on the map. Those resources are then used to build additional buildings (turrets and tech buildings which unlock more advanced units) or units (scouts, infantry, light/heavy tanks, light/heavy artillery). To build things, the player needs to open up a menu and choose up to four units/buildings which are completed in order. All finished constructions can be deployed at any place within the radius of a command post.

In order to win the match, the player needs to fight the enemy. Units automatically pick up the fight when something enters their radius, but of course the player can manually issue attack or move orders. Because the typical real-time selection frame is not available in this game, close multiple units of the same type are all selected by using a different button. Each killed enemy unit rewards points and enough points eventually lead to a level-up. This has two consequences: the player receives one point to spend in the tech tree and reaching level five instantly wins the match (alternatively wiping out all enemy units/buildings has the same result). After a level-up, the points counts of both players are cleared.
