Description

In this arcade style shooter, Zig-Zag, you are a star pilot. Maneuver your star fighter down the narrow passageways of Matrix of Zog somewhere in the 12th dimension. You must locate the Eight Crystals of Zog. To prevent you from doing this, the enemy will send their best against you. Ramps, traps and disappearing barriers are a few of the other obstacles in your path. Shop zones are available at various spots. Buy maps, shields, an extra life or two, or even infrared and x-ray vision.

There are two modes that you are able to choose at the beginning of the game, Brain Teaser and Zapper. Zapper mode, all prisms in place and all passageways will be open. Use this mode to become familiar with the maze. However, you must shoot aliens while doing this. The Brain Teaser is the normal mode of the game. You will have five lives.

The joystick controls your fighter up, down, left and right, its button fires your weapons. To change the forward direction of your ship, you must run into the prisms on the floor (or the walls). The prisms allow 90 degree and 180 degree turns, depending how they are oriented. Hitting a wall always reverses direction. There are three Special Zones: Save Zone – Entering this zone will allow you to save the game. You will be shown a special save code. Jot these down, since they will not be saved to disk. When you restart the game, you will be able to re-enter this code to begin the game in the Save Zone. Death Zone – Enter here and die. Shop Zone – Enter this zone and using the cash that you have accumulated from killing aliens purchase various items to help you on your quest. Your quest won't be easy. There are seven types of aliens that will hinder your progress. They are zigzags, homers, drifters, attracters, bouncers, corkscrews and cubes. Good luck.
