Inspiration

The plot is closely inspired by the 1978 film Dawn of the Dead (which, perhaps coincidentally, was called Zombi in Italy).

Reboot

A revival of the game was announced at E3 2012 under the title ZombiU as an exclusive survival horror title for the Wii U console.
