DescriptionEscape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters has the player sent on a rescue mission to Planet X. This planet has been taken over by robots and it's up to the player to find and evacuate the remaining humans.
It's a shooter similar to Gauntlet, only with an isometric viewpoint. The protagonist runs around the levels shooting robots, rescuing humans and picking up items.

Accidental covermount releaseOne UK ST magazine offered a playable demo of this on a coverdisk. Or, at least, that's how it seemed, until tens of thousands of readers loaded it up and found themselves presented with the full game, then retailing at £25!
Version differencesIn the Amiga and Atari version (probably in the other computer conversions too) the gore animations from the arcade version when dying in the spike machine trap were removed.
