Wasn't the Arcade version released before the NES version. E.g. in 1988?

Both say 1988 and the Arcade title screen has it copyrighted for 1988.

Not sure why I would of added 1989?Must of pressed 9 instead of 8 LOL.

Scroll down. It says "released February 1989". Of course there is no indication as to what region that applies to.

There's a separate arcade entry for the Japanese one, "Ninja Ryukenden". It just has the same date though. I take their release dates with a grain of salt anyway, they're not doing any advanced voodoo there. Of course, they can say the same about Moby, and it'd be right as well in many cases.

This Japanese flyer has 1988, I'd go with that.

Possibly 1989 is correct for the US release then.
