MobyGames News
You may have noticed there have been some quiet changes around MobyGames. First we added three new platforms; Atari ST, Sega GameGear and Sega Master System. This brings the number of supported platforms up to 26. While we still have a long way to go before we reach our goal of supporting every computer, console and handheld ever made we are steadily making progress. We have also decided to break out gaming platforms into the above mentioned categories which the main page reflects. Brian has also pushed a new release of the code. Lots of bug fixes and subtle changes most of you will not notice, but definitely make MobyGames run much much better. That's all for now. If you live anywhere near where I do I hope you are keeping warm.

Played out all of your PC games from Christmas and short on cash? Stop by your local CompUSA or similar software store, because you would be surprised at the number of
quality games there. Just today I saw in a $9 bargain-bin display of jewelcases the very excellent games
Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. 2,
Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit, and
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. All of these games run fine on any speed machine, so there's no reason to pass them up just because they're 2-3 years old. If they kicked ass then, they kick ass now. End of story. I personally picked up
Oni and
Star Wars: Jedi Knight, because I missed them the first time around. It's a good time to be a PC gamer.
