Current MobyGoal: Help us reach 250 documented ZX81 Games

MobyGames News
I am extremely pleased to announce that, a hair after our 3rd-year anniversary of going live to the public March 1999, we have approved our 5000th game entry: Archipelagos. Many thanks to all MobyGames contributors past and present for helping us achieve this milestone. I'd also like to personally thank Brian and Dave for not merely believing in the project, but having the patience and drive to stick with it even through difficult financial times and lifestyle changes. Thanks, guys.

(A small confession: In approving entries, I noticed that we were at entry #4999, so I decided to tip the scales myself. I couldn't think of a better game to document than Archipelagos, which was completely unique and way ahead of its time -- just like MobyGames when it was conceived and built. For those unfamiliar with the game, check it out, especially the great graphics for 1989. For those who know the game already, check out the trivia and hints.)

And the beat goes on. We are finally getting a handle on approvals since we left. Brian has some improvements in the works. We are just a little heads down trying to get taxes and stuff out the door. Oh yeah and I got a new job.

We're back and we're tired. I think I have jet lag since I am waking up at 5:30 am and usually I prefer to stay in bed as long as possible. We had a lot of fun but it is good to be back in the good old U S of A. Jim has been doing a bang up job on approvals so everyone owes him a bit of thanks.

I've been sidelined for almost four days due to a fever and backache. I should be getting back into the swing of approvals tonight, so check back in 10 hours for new content.
