Tom Hlavaty
is MobyGames latest donating member. We really appreciate the support. The harsh reality is that this project costs us money to run. If you feel you can afford to help defray some of our costs,
a $5 donation would be most helpful. If you make a contribution, you will receive a bronze star (

) next to your name so that all MobyGames users know you are a contributing member.

We've just added Vectrex as one of the supported platforms in MobyGames. The list of games released for this system is pretty small, so hopefully we can get it documented quickly. You can add new vectrex games to the database via the
new game wizard.

A very sad day for classic game enthusiasts: John Romero had this to report: "I just received word today that
Silas Warner has just died. A very sad event and one that is slightly related to me since I suggested that we recreate Castle Wolfenstein back in 1992 (Wolfenstein 3D)." Our thoughts and prayers go out to Silas' widow during this time of grief.

Happy 5th Birthday MobyGames. March 1st, 1999. For a mini-celebration, we've put out a new release which fixes many many bugs, and makes major changes to the approval system. If you contribute information to MobyGames, the approval process and notification process will go much more smoothly. I also recommend that people who turned email notifications off to turn them back on. Email is sent in HTML format now by default, if you want to turn off HTML email, you can do that from your account preferences and recieve text only email.
We've also added 3DO as a new platform and have several others that will be released over the next few days.
