New face among the Top 50
GTramp just entered the coveted list of All-Time Top 50 MobyGames Contributors, joining the other three Russians there and ousting the veteran Indra. Will the Indonesian lawyer and social critic be able to fight his way back to glory? Suspense builds up and the plot thickens!

Sega Studios Australia closing this August
After the lay off of 40 employees at High Moon Studios, unknown number of positions at Square Enix Los Angeles and approximately 200 employees at LucasArts (which Disney has shifted to licensed based products instead of internal development), now Sega have confirmed that Sega Studios Australia will be shutting down this August.

Sega Studios Australia is based in Brisbane, known by their former name as the Australian branch of Creative Assembly - where they were responsible for Medieval II: Total War and the London 2012 Olympics game.

Disney shuts down publisher LucasArts
Disney has shut down LucasArts and canceled all current projects, as part of a move toward licensing out the Star Wars brand to other publishers. This would impact Star Wars 1313 and Star Wars: First Assault.

Official statement from LucasArts: "After evaluating our position in the games market, we've decided to shift LucasArts from an internal development to a licensing model, minimizing the company's risk while achieving a broader portfolio of quality Star Wars games. As a result of this change, we've had layoffs across the organization. We are incredibly appreciative and proud of the talented teams who have been developing our new titles."
