Thanks to our up-and-coming contributors, I was very happy to review and approve over 65
new box covers added to the system. Check out recent modifications to see most of them. Many thanks to all
those patient individuals scanning and uploading for the cause!

We were without bandwidth for two periods of three hours each yesterday afternoon and evening. Send all love letters to our service provider :-)

Titan A.E.,
Don Bluth's newest animated film, did so poorly at the box office that it's already at the cheapie theaters. (Don Bluth is the ex-Disney animator responsible for the
Dragon's Lair and
Space Ace animated games, one of the very first
interactive movie-style games.)
It's worth seeing. Gamers in the USA can use moviefone.com to check theaters and showtimes; gamers overseas, watch for it!

I must have missed the closing of
Psygnosis.
Does anyone have specific details of what happened?

My, how entries fly! Arnaldo 'ReviewGames.Com' Carvalho put us into the 1900-entry range with an appropriately historic title:
The Roberta Williams Anthology.

For being one of the single most influencial computer games ever produced, our description of
Elite is a bit basic. Without getting too subjective (opinionated, etc.), is anyone willing to contribute an additional description for it?

While I've been in denial about it for a couple of days, I thought I should mention that I have been dethroned from the spot of Top Contributor by MAT, a credits-entering maniac.
Am I mad? Hell no -- I'm ecstatic! It shows that MobyGames is a success!

Yes, we're still alive. After our longest and most embarrasing outage to date, we're happy to report that all is well, no data was lost, and we are taking steps to ensure that this type of outage never happens again.

Okay; I'm back, so expect some approvals tonight.
Also: I just wanted to reassure everyone that when you sent a custom addition or correction to contributions@mobygames.com, it does NOT get lost -- it gets stored in a queue where it sits until we do a major database update. Major updates happen about once a month, so don't think we're ignoring you. :)
As MobyGames matures, we plan on adding several features that let you contribute directly to the approval queue instead of mailing us, like developer bios (actual developers have been asking us for this -- woohoo!), advertising blurbs, and technical attributes. Stay tuned...
