Tobias Sicheritz is MobyGames latest donating member. We really appreciate the support. The harsh reality is that this project costs us money to run. If you feel you can afford to help defray some of our costs, a $5 donation would be most helpful. If you make a contribution, you will receive a bronze star ( ) next to your name so that all MobyGames users know you are a contributing member.
We are pleased to be a media partner of the Women's Game Confrence. The Women's Game Conference focuses on women in the computer and video game industry. The conference program includes career paths for women in the industry, gender inclusive game design and women and girls as consumers of games. The Women's Game Conference runs concurrently with the Austin Game Conference September 9-10, 2004 at the Austin Convention Center and is open to anyone interested in the game industry and game development.
If you live in the Bay Area or will be in the Bay Area in late August you should stop by and see us at the Classic Gaming Expo August 21 and 22 at the San Jose Convention Center. Brian, Jim, Rob and I will be there demoing MobyGames and giving away MobyGames t-shirts, mugs, stcikers and other stuff. Jim may have a trailer of the new MindCandy DVD running. We'll have some game stations running for people to play games and maybe some other neat stuff. It's great to meet fellow MobyGamers so drop by and say hi.
Today marks the start of an experiment: Our feature article this month is actually a video featurette. Check it out and let Trixter know what you think, and whether or not you'd like to see more of this kind of thing.
