It didn't take long, but some anonymous jokers have figured out that we
don't have any sort of limiter on the number of times anonymous users of
MobyGames can artificially inflate a rating. Needless to say,
Brian and I will fix this as soon as he gets back from Europe.

With the approval of Markf's contribution
of the classic game
Pirates!, we have just
now broken the 200 mark for game entries in the database! With over
240 user accounts, 80 reviews, 250 box covers (front and back), and 815
(!) screenshots in MobyGames, we feel that this is fantastic progress
for a project that went online for the first time 5 months ago.
Give yourselves a pat on the back--we're on our way!
Needless to say, our contributors have mentioned numerous updates
they'd like to see--namely, the ability to add companies that
don't exist, and developers--and we have heard your suggestions and
promise to tackle them in September when Brian gets back from Europe.
And finally, I've updated the text-screen capture utility
once again, this time to accept Video Thief captures as input,
and also to handle the most common CGA tweaked mode "160x100x16".
See Round 42 as an example of what the
finished captures look like.
