Trivia

Innovations

After years of maintaining a policy of no-graphics interactive games, Infocom finally succumbed to the temptation: Shogun was their first game that featured graphics to enhance the story.

Inspiration

Although fictional, the game (and the book its based on) are founded on actual historical events. For more information, research William Adams (the role model for Blackthorne) and Ieyasu Tokugawa.
