Description

Fast Food is similar to Pac-Man or Boulder Dash, but not quite. The objective is to collect all fast food on the screen: that means, food that is moving fast. While doing so, you will have to avoid the monsters, otherwise you'll get killed. There are 30 levels, increasing in difficulty from very easy to extremely difficult.

One of my all-time favourites!

The Good
Dizzy goes Pacman! He has to run through a maze to collect food, but this time, the food runs away! Each food has a differnt personality: chickens, for example, are very hard to catch, where pizzas are blind and wander around aimlessly. Like the food, the four different monsters each have a different personality. Pippa, for instance, will never leave your tail once she catches it, where Fido tries to incept you. Add to this the funny cinematics between the levels, and you've got a great game!

The Bad
Most Dizzy fans don't like the Dizzy arcades; they are just too different from the regular puzzle games.

The Bottom Line
Bored of Pacman? Try this.

Trivia

Amstrad CPC version

The original Amstrad CPC version of the game was in a basic playable form in just three days, even with only two people working on it. Like all of their Spectrum conversions, this one was largely coded on the Amstrad, and copied across using a custom-written interface/software combination called SPLINK.

Easter version

At Easter, the magazines ST Action and Amiga Action released an easter version of Fast Food. It had fewer levels and replaced the food by easter eggs.

Mother

This is the only Dizzy game in which we get to see Dizzy's mother. In the other games, she isn't even mentioned, but she is seen in one of this game's cinematics.
