Description official descriptions

Try to keep the ball out of the little hole at the bottom of the board by using two flippers (in case somebody doesn't know what kind of game pinball is :).

The playing field is splitted into two parts, so if the ball falls down the first little hole you aren't dead yet: you get to play on the bottom floor.

If you are lucky you get to play the bonus game where Mario makes an cameo appearance: bounce the ball off a platform on top of your head to save Pauline.

Pinball was one of the very first NES games ever released.

Fun, but outdated.

The Good
This NES launch title is enjoyable, and a decent pinball game. The graphics are good for the time, and the ball movement is fairly realistic.

The table is large, being composed of two screens that it quickly switches between as the ball is knocked back and forth. The flipper control is responsive enough, and have plenty of targets to aim for. There's even a side game where you play Mario trying to free Peach by bouncing the ball over a giant bingo card.

The Bad
The table needs a theme! You have penguins, trained seals, baby chickens, poker cards, and Mario all thrown together. They should of made the table have one unifying idea, instead of all these cliche pinball designs mixed up into one generic mess.

Also, you can't nudge the table, and I would of liked to be able to do this. I especially regret it's absence when the ball sails between the flippers and there's nothing I can do to stop it.

The Bottom Line
It's still a fun game, but video game pinball has come so far since 1985 that you'd be better off sticking with a newer game. Even the SNES pinball games are far, far, better and more enjoyable.
