It's everything you read here... and more

The Good
Nothing at all

The Bad
Well, this game sucks a looong way... if you can stand this game more than 10 minutes... you are a real hero. It lacks spirit, graphics, sound effects, music... but the most important of all... it lack FUN

The Bottom Line
A horrible compilation of 52 horrible "wanna-be-games"... !! Awful !

My review of Action 52

The Good
The concept of the idea sounds good. I mean, it's an unlicensed multicart containing 50 games! The music is also pretty good, but those are the only good things about this multicart. (Yes, it's a multicart, not a game.)

The Bad
The games on the cart are unplayable, glitchy, frustrating, and they tend to crash. Also, the price for the NES version is a whopping $200!

The Bottom Line
It's one of the worst games/multicarts ever made, and it's one of the worst NES game ever made!

Anyone who buys this off Ebay deserves what he gets.

The Good
There's something to be said for emulation-unlike the 4 or 5 idiots who wasted 300 bucks on this, I got to experience the pain for FREE. Plus the intro is pretty funny.

The Bad
Two words: BUG CITY

The Bottom Line
Action 52's sheer badness could kill a whole cornfield and cause milk to go sour in cow's udders. None of the 52 so-called "games" work right, if they even work at all, and if by some miracle they actually start, there's an army of bugs guaranteed to make them unplayable. But then, there's the dirty little secret-the games are DESIGNED to be unplayable! Just another facet of Active Enterprises' scam.

Trivia

Contest

There was a contest held for this game. If you were to beat level 5 of Ooze, you could enter in a drawing to win $104,000. Unfortunately, Ooze crashes after level 3 making the contest impossible to win.

Inspiration

The creator of Action 52, Vince Perri, got the inspiration to make this game when he saw his son playing an illegal Taiwanese multicart with 40 games on it.

Music

The music loop in the intro is taken from Rob Base's song "It Takes Two".
