Description official descriptions

The Neverending Story II is a platform game which is largely based on the movie. The concept is simple: you're Bastian, and are called forth once again by the Childlike Empress to save Fantasia, the Land of Dreams.

The game itself is indeed a platformer where you have to outrun giants (as in the movie) or push them over ledges. With every level you will be awarded with another advancement in the plot, usually a few pages written on a "book".

The game is even worse than the movie.

The Good
Not much; the music is OK and the book is a nice touch. I also really like the poster which is enclosed with the game.

The Bad
The controls are horrible; the graphics aren't very well drawn; the game is horribly slow and simply not rewarding.

The Bottom Line
A silly game I'm glad I didn't pay much for.

Why do games based on movies suck ?

The Good
Like every other game based on a movie, it's pretty cool to play the main character and experience his adventures...

The Bad
This game simply sucked... it's a badly made platform game with no purpose whatsoever...

The Bottom Line
Stay away !!!!!

Trivia

Developer's message

Programmer of the DOS version Ste Cork left the following message in one of the game's files: *Another Ste Cork Creation, but what a sod to write!

Don't work for LINEL, it's lousy money, flies everywhere, the whole place stinks of shit - human and cattle -, there's NOTHING to do but work, no TV or anything, no pubs, nowhere to go, no car - despite what he tells you, you're always hungry, 'phoning home costs you nearly all your wages, if you need medical treatment you're in trouble 'cos you're working there without a permit, your wages are late EVERY month.

I could go on but I've only got 640k ram after all.*

Extras

A large poster is enclosed with the game.
