Description official descriptions

This is the sequel to the very popular Metroid for the NES. In Metroid 2, you control Samus Aran in her quest to rid the planet SR388 of the Metroid parasites. After killing the space pirate Mother Brain in the original Metroid, Samus must take on this adventure to prevent the Metroids from multiplying throughout the galaxy. Samus soon finds out that the Metroids have mutated, making them much more difficult to defeat.

darn good metroid game..

The Good
This metroid game is extremely hard and makes you feel like your completely isolated. it is a brilliant platformer though, and gives you a great sense of achievement when you defeat that god damn huge annoying metroid.

The story is pretty basic, and probably the most linear of the series, you take control of the bounty hunter and must exterminate all the metroid's. its a rather boring idea and you will find yourself trying so desperately to find that last metroid you missed so easily. However the puzzles are great and it still offers much of the classic metroid action around.

The Bad
the game, like most metroid games, just let you find your own way of getting through the story without any help. But since this is on the game boy its incredibly hard to know how many metroid's you need to defeat to get the water level to decrease. I found myself many times, lost in the design of the levels and i coulden't pull up a map or get any help resulting in frustration.

The Bottom Line
A good metroid adventure but not the best. There are much better metroid games out there.

The perfect platform game...

The Good
This game can be specified as a platform-rpg game because of the very intriguing scenario and gameplay. There hundreds of items to collect as well as many secret places to find. The game can be hard and very challenging at times, but the power-ups that can be found will help solving any problem or defeating any opponent.

The Bad
There is absolutely nothing bad about the game!Everything is perfect, proving the games' high quality.

The Bottom Line
This is a must-have.The thrilling atmosphere and the excellent gameplay will keep everyone stuck to their console until it is finished.Highly recommended!

Trivia

Endings

Just like in the original, Metroid II has different ending screens depending on how long it took you to beat the game. If you finish it in over 5 hours you get Samus running towards you; if you finish it in 3-5 hrs she jumps and then stays still facing you; and if you beat the game in under 3 hours she jumps like before but when she lands she appears without the armor and dressed in nothing but a tank-top and a thong.

Metroid

As of 2007, this is the only Metroid game to feature all six stages of a Metroid's lifecycle: Infant, Alpha, Gamma, Zeta, Omega and Queen.
