I pracitcally grew up on this genre, starting with Sierra, but expanding to other developers over the years as well. I won't say my whole spare time is devoted solely to playing/gaming, but at least a large portion of it.
My all time favourite series is unquestionably the Gabriel Knight Mysteries. As a result, I sometimes find myself grating my teeth in anticipation of Gray Matter, the latest project in development from Jane Jensen.
I share the sentiment that video games, primarily PC Adventure Games, have the potential to be considered a true art form, and not merely commercial entertainment.
Certainly, AG are a budding art, that needs more time to grow and to flourish. It will come, sooner or later.
As for 'old' classics, I resent the belief that they're obsolete. Outdated - maybe, but not obsolete in any way, shape or form.
Finally, I'd like to congratulate and express my appreciation to the creators and owners of this wonderful database - you're doing a commendable job, keep it up! | |
