About myself:I’ve been developing massively multiplayer online games for over 19 years, with roles that spanned the spectrum of game design and production. I joined Mythic Entertainment in 1996 as a remote developer, back when the company was still a startup called Interworld Productions and joined them in-house in 1997. I was with Mythic for 14 years, and I worked on every game developed by the studio up until my departure in 2010.

After I left Mythic, I tried a stint starting up a new studio, but after our primary investor encountered monetary issues, we lost our funding. As such, I moved to become a Lead Game Designer for Bigpoint, a German-based company with a studio in San Francisco. I worked on their browser-based MMORPG called Battlestar Galactica Online until the company closed the studio in December of 2012.

It was at that point that I felt the need to make the transition from computer-based games to mobile-based games. I worked as a freelance designer for a year and a half, gaining mobile development experience. In 2014, I began working as the Creative Director for the mobile games division for Kabam, a San Francisco-based company. In 2015, Kabam re-defined its image, focusing entirely on mobile games, and I became part of the Kabam RPG studio. In 2015, I shipped Star Wars: Uprising, contributing to the game as both the Narrative Design Director and as a writer.

Many of the games I’ve worked on in my career either did not provide credits or the credits did not cover those who worked on the live production parts of the game, a situation that is unique to online multi-player games.
