About myself:I got my first computer, a ZX Spectrum, in 1989. I had a lot of fun with it, despite having to wait 15 minutes for every game to squeeze its way off a cassette. 3D Deathchase remains a classic.

Things got a lot more interesting in 1991 when I bought my first PC. The awesome beast was a 16MHz 286, with 2MB of RAM and a 40MB hard drive. It was a big step up from the Spectrum and I had massive amounts of fun with games like Dune II and Alone in the Dark. After a couple of years, I managed to upgrade to a 486. Then I had my mind blown and my nerves shattered by the likes of DOOM, System Shock and still the greatest game I've played, X-COM: UFO Defense.

I've upgraded many times since then, and have played a wide variety of PC games. I have also delved into emulation and, more recently, picked up a Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.

I look for games that focus on atmosphere and exploration. Also, I've got a definite taste for the weird and off-beat. I am particularly impressed by the work of Looking Glass Studios, Ice-Pick Lodge and Exxos.
