About myself:A friend of mine recently reminded me of MobyGames and since I really have no idea under what account I registered some years ago I decided to give it a second shot.

I'm currently in Europa, Germany to be precise, I'm 20 years old and so I have to admit that I missed some of the golden days I pride myself to know of. However, I've made up for my age deficit by becoming addicted to computers, games and consoles at the age of four and, to date, haven't stopped collecting and building up a large archive of sought after classics. I'm not doing anything right now but I've already studied a term of jurisprudence, three terms of philosophy and anglistics and one term of computer sciences and I'll again visit a university next year. Which one, that's to be decided in the near future; If all fails, I'll go to Harvard or Yale, but if I'm lucky I'll go to Zeppelin University here in Germany first - which would mean that I could stay close to the few people I call friends - and visit Harvard afterwards.

Basically, talking about lifestyle, there's little to tell about myself that wouldn't scare most people, but since this is a gamer's site, I might find some people who understand my ways. I've been crazy about games, movies and books ever since I was a child. At the age of four, I was introduced to a simple top-scroller whose name I would love to know again. It was basically like Raptor, but that came out in 1994 - and was instantly bought - and R-Type, but it sure wasn't R-Type - which would qualify at least timewise. Anyway, I've been playing all sorts of classical games and focused on tactical games with the occassional outbreak of hillarity, a.k.a. freak games like Braindead 13. I sadly never owned an NES but was able to play quite a few classics at my cousin's place, same goes for SNES.

I've been mostly focused on RPGs in the last ten years and played nearly every major and minor one with a few, sad, exceptions - which I want to rectify as soon as possible. I'm also the administrator of the largest RPG Maker fansite in Germany and we're currently cooperating with a major computer magazine and the japanese distributor Enterbrain and, only recently, became part of the management of Germany's largest Anime/Japan-Webradio.

There is a second addiction I fell for and I already named it: Books. I've read around 5000 books now and I'm always searching for new material which hasn't been fed to my brain yet.

In my spare time - and basically around the clock - I care for my two cats, Rufus and Mara and my wonderful australian shepard, Shiva - And yes, I name my pets after vdeo game characters, B-Movie characters, comic characters and scientists. Lastly, I am eternally grateful to have found a girl which is quite as geeky as I am, though in different subjects and which I adore and admire for her talents. We're not engaged, though. :/

To sum my persona up in a single paragraph: I am a very reluctant know-it-all geek who has to admit that he's a little bit (read: "hella") arrogant because he doesn't participate in society but has his reasons as society is, in his opinion, rotten to the core and lacks imagination; besides, they don't understand what 42 is all about. ;)
I actually think of myself as a rather pleasant guy, you just shouldn't fancy superficiality too much and should be ready for long debates and my philosophical standpoint - which is adamant. I've come to terms with existence by forging a rationalists blade from the theories Kant and Nietzsche devised and have been rounding it off with modern mediaphilosophy and neurobiology.

Well, now that you've read it all, if there's anything in between Kafka, Kant, Nietzsche, Amano or Gibson or you just want to talk or rant about literature, gaming, movies or pop culture, just drop me a line.
