Save Game Methods : Manual Save
Game allows player to manually save the game at any (almost, often not during cut-scenes or specific points within the game) point during gameplay by pausing the game and selecting the save game option. Manually saved files can be loaded at the beginning of the game from the main menu or by pausing current gameplay and loading previous saved file.

Older console games had external storage like various memory cards used for saving game data, some games don't use any save option but use password system which lets the player jump to specific point in the game or exact level to continue playing from, and so on.
