Supports a math co-processor (8087, 80287, 80387, or 80487) for enhanced performance or additional game features. Historical significance: A match coprocessor contains additional circuitry optimized to do complex operations on floating-point numbers quicker than the CPU can. They are standard on all 486DX cpus and higher, but were expensive additions for 386s and lower. As a result, not many companies utilized them because the additional programming effort was lost on most consumers.
