Tech-Specs > Video Modes Supported > SuperVGA
Refers to any VGA-compatible video card, but with additional memory and higher-resolution graphics modes. SuperVGA (Super Video Graphics Array) modes were initialized and accessed differently from manufacturer to manufacturer, so their use was never widespread (see VESA for a standard that did catch on). The most typically-used SuperVGA resolutions were 640x400x256, 640x480x256, and 800x600x16.
