Vulcando Games in hindsight is often been referred to as one of the first genuine "Indie Game Developer Teams" in Germany, at least for what the term "Indie Game Developer" means since around 2010 after the rise of independent titles like World of Goo and Minecraft.
Vulcando Games had no corporate officer position (CxO) which are so popular today, even in small companies. There were just programmers and artists.
Received a funding by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and by the EU's European Social Fund (ESF) because of Celetania's (their first title) game server software technology.
