Overview edit · view history

Founded in Taiwan in June, 1993, AV artisan began as a developer of 16-bit video games for the Sega Mega Drive and Funtech Super A'can. At the end of the 16-bit era, the company moved its focus to the PC.

Several of the company's Mega Drive games were published in North America by their distributor Realtec. Realtec also handled distribution of the games within Taiwan.

In 2012, the legal rights to the company's two A'can games were acquired by Super Fighter Team, which intends to adapt the games to other platforms.
