Acclaim Games was the resurrection of the Acclaim name and logo branded originally by Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. It was co-founded in 2006 by Howard Marks, Neil Malhotra, and David Perry. The company focused on massive multiplayer online (MMO) games through their website.
On 18 May 2010, the social gaming company Playdom announced the acquisition of Acclaim. On 27 August 2010, Playdom closed down Acclaim.
The Acclaim publishing label was acquired by CollectorVision Games in May 2016.
