Supergiant Games is an independent development studio based in San Jose, California (USA). The formation of the company was first announced on 9 March 2010. It was established by three developers who previously worked together at Electronic Arts Los Angeles and quit in August 2009: Amir Rao, Gavin Simon and Darren Korb, shortly thereafter joined by Greg Kasavin.
