Overview edit · view history

VeriTest, Inc. was incorporated in 1987 and located in Framingham, Massachusetts (USA). The company boasted that it was "the world's most trusted independent microcomputer product testing lab, enabling the industry to build and market better products through definitive, real-world testing."

VeriTest operated as a fully independent verification service, unaffiliated with any publication or industry association. Most notable in its history was their certification by Microsoft as a compliance facility.

The company was acquired by Lionbridge Technologies in 1999, and became a "business unit" of Lionbridge. Other companies were acquired by Lionbridge over the next several years and combined into VeriTest including Data Dimensions, Inc. and eTesting Labs. The company moved its headquarters from Massachusetts to Bellevue, Washington, after the 1999 acquisition of Data Dimensions.

In November 2009, a press release was issued that VeriTest Inc. (still part of Lionbridge) had acquired Olim LLC. VeriTest has since become a brand of the parent company, Lionbridge.
