Atrophy Studios was an independent game development studio established in July 2009 by Andrew Hynek. It was based in San Francisco, California. The company developed for the platforms PS2, GC, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, and iPhone. In addition to creating its own product portfolio, Atrophy Studios also provided for-hire services. The studio's first title, the iPhone game Traffic Flow, was released in November 2010. The studio was closed in June 2012 and Hynek became VP of technology at Gaijin Games Inc., a company Atrophy previously worked with.
