Random House Co., Ltd. (株式会社ランダムハウス) was a Saitama, Japan-based developer and publisher established in April 1983 by Kazurou Morita. He started the company using the prize money from winning Enix Corporation's first game programming competition. Yuto Ramon was also a founding member of the company; he left in 1986 to establish Artec Corp.. The company was best known for it's adaptations of Shogi and other board games bearing Morita's name.
In 1999, all assets and staff were transferred to a new company called Yuki Enterprise, and Random House became defunct. Morita stepped down as company president but continued to work with the new company as a programmer; he passed away in 2012.
Not to be confused with the similarly-named American book publisher Random House.
