GD8 Games is a game development and publishing studio based in Friesland, the Netherlands. It was founded in March 2008 by students of the NHL University in Leeuwarden. The company develops game for iPhone and iPad, but can also work on Windows and Macintosh games.
The studio's first two games were both released independently in December 2010, first Joe Cable and five days later Cubo.
The team is currently working on Folded Flyer for publisher Chillingo. It is a cel shaded 3D game where the player controls a paper plane. It was originally announced in June 2010 as Folded Flight and due to be released a few weeks later. Chillingo contacted the developer, and asked them to pull the game as it was already pending approval, and to rework it further into a more extensive game.
