Overview edit · view history
Crate Entertainment is an independent development studio established around 2008. It initially consisted mainly of developers from Iron Lore Entertainment, including lead designer Arthur Bruno, who founded the studio after Iron Lore was closed down in 2008.
Initially, the company did contract work for another studio in the area, but in 2009, Crate worked out a deal to use the engine and toolset used in the Iron Lore game Titan Quest and the expansion Titan Quest: Immortal Throne.
The team is released Grim Dawn, an open world action RPG also partially funded through crowdfunding, in 2016. In 2022, their next title Farthest Frontier would enter early access.
