CD Media S.E. was established in 1993 and is responsible with marketing and distributing video games and related hardware in Southeastern Europe.
In June 2016 it was officially announced by Nintendo of Europe that CD Media would become the official distributor for Nintendo in Greece, Cyprus, and the Balkans. Replacing the regions previous distributor, Nortec Multimedia, who ended their partnership with Nintendo the year prior. In 2018 this partnership was expanded to include Turkey, ending a 6 year gap where Nintendo's games weren't released in the country after Nortec Eurasia ended commercial operation in 2012.
