Eclipse Entertainment was the company responsible for the open source 3D Engine Genesis3D. On 25th October 1999 WildTangent announced the acquisition of the company. The Eclipse development team relocated to WildTangent's Redmond headquarters to fuse the engine with WildTangent’s web driver.
