Overview edit · view history

Lucinda group started releasing shareware games in the early 1990's, their first game was Battle Beyond. This is how they described themselves in a document that was included in the shareware version's release package (1994).

``` Lucida, a new company entering the world of shareware. Lucida consists of two members:
            Rob Colbert      (Linc)
            Steve Heintz    (Mantis)
    Rob is the head programmer of the group.  He is currently majoring in
Computer Science at the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, PA. He hopes to transfer to Carnegie Mellon University's Computer Science program and earn a four-year degree in that field.
    Steve is just your ordinary (not quite:) high school student.  He also
is a programmer for the group, but writes only in assembly. Can't really say much about him, his life is too boring. :) But he is a pilot wannabe and makes a lot of trips to the Allegheny County Airport. He is 14 yrs old, and is a very good programmer for his age. He hopes to either attend the Air Force Academy, but if that doesn't work he hopes to become a professional programmer.
    Battle Beyond is our first production of many.  Look for more great
stuff from Lucida in the future! You can contact us at:
