Orange Soft was founded on May 12, 1995 as a publisher for Japanese computer games (High Reward, Memories, Power Climb etc.) in collaboration with the localization studio KCT1. In October 1996, the company started work on its first in-house title, an RPG based on the 1989 animated movie Merturl Dosa, which was completed two years later. The company is believed to have been defunct since 2004.
