Overview edit · view history

KMM Interactive Entertainment was a game development studio based in Australia. Most likely there were multiple divisions and one was located in Brisbane. It was established as a division of the Australian film and television production company Kennedy Miller Mitchell. It was started by George Miller.

When the fellow Australian studios Krome Studios and Team Bondi collapsed, many employees joined the studio. Especially from Team Bondi as KMM bought the studio's assets and intellectual property, and staff were given the option to join KMM. The team was absorbed into KMM Interactive Entertainment. Prominent developers such as Cory Barlog and Brendan McNamara were part of the studio, working on the title The Whore of the Orient that was eventually officially cancelled in June 2016 in an interview with producer Derek Proud. KMM Interactive Entertainment already closed down in early 2013.

Previously the Brisbane studio has already been shut down in October 2011 after finishing the movie adaptation Happy Feet Two: The Videogame, the studio's only released game. The film did not meet expectations and 85% of the staff was fired at Dr. D Studios, the digital production studio behind the film and where KMM Interactive Entertainment was based.
