Founded in 1985, ATI Technologies Inc. was a Canadian graphics processor manufacturing company. By 2002, ATI had over 1,900 full-time employees supporting customers from its headquarters in Markham, Ontario, Canada, as well as from offices in Barbados, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Their GPU lineups included Rage and Radeon.

On 25 October 2006, they were acquired by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). On 30 August 2010, the ATI branding was retired, but the Radeon graphics card lineup would continue.
