Overview edit · view history
The company Future Games s. r. o. was established on June 19, 1999. The main activity of the company at that time was development of computer games and their sale in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia.
In the first years of its existence, the company released several titles: the logical game Boovie and the adventure Posel Bohů.
The company launched a horror adventure titled Messenger of Death (released abroad under the name The Black Mirror) in 2001. Because of its range, works on this project continued for almost two years and the game was released in the Czech Republic in 2003. Based on the success of that game, the company released another adventure game in 2005, a remake of Posel Bohů called NiBiRu: Age of Secrets in 2005 and then in 2006 the 3D action / RPG game Bonez Adventures.
The sales division of the company, focusing on distribution of selected games in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, launched its activities during the year 2005. This division entered into exclusive contract with the company Noviy Disk to release the RPG Night Watch based on the story of the novel by Sergey Lukyanenko. The sales division was also a partner of the company Playseats EE and an exclusive seller of the gaming device Playseats into the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The company's later releases were the dark adventure game Next Life and the fantasy fairy-tale family adventure game Tale of Hero (interestingly, it was never released in English-language markets, but the Italian version includes full English voice acting and Future Games later released English subtitle patch).
Future Games was also the creator of the AGDS adventure game engine, which reached version 5.
Future Games last game was point and click third person adventure game Alter Ego, released in 2010. The game wasn't successful and Future Games was closed down due to financial problems in September 2011.
