Overview edit · view history
Quicksilver Software is a software development studio founded in 1984. Originally from Irvine, California, they are now situated in San Clemente, California.
In the gaming industry, they started out as a porting company for other developers, most notably Data East Corporation, but eventually became known for their own games such as the Castles series, Star Trek: Starfleet Command (adapted from the Star Fleet Battles tabletop game) and Conquest of the New World, which have sold over one million copies combined. Their title Shanghai: Second Dynasty was awarded "Classic Game of the Year" by Computer Games Magazine, and the titles in that series have sold nearly a million copies. From 2008, their gaming presence was limited to casual games. WWE 2K23 broke that streak, when they were hired to expand the camera system and perform technical maintenance of the existing code.
The company has also developed productivity software, interfaces for businesses, the Real Deal Poker game show in Las Vegas (2008-2009), military training software, virtual tours and other products.
