Saber Interactive is a game development company founded in 2001 by Andrey Iones, Anton Krupkin and Matthew Karch. The company has offices in Millburn, St. Petersburg, Kyiv and Madrid. Management, design and R&D are done in the US while the St. Petersburg and other offices produces the programming and artwork.
The company also operates the subsidiary Live Action Games. It is a smaller division created for the development of Battle: Los Angeles (2011)
A year later the company also operates the subsidiary Old School Games. It is a smaller division created for the development of GodMode (2013) and R.I.P.D.: Rest in Peace Department - The Game (2013)
In February 2020, it was acquired by Embracer Group and became one of its operating groups. On 14 March 2024, it was sold to Beacon Interactive, a company owned by Saber co-founder Matthew Karch, but a part of the operating group and intellectual properties (including the Metro series) remained with Embracer.
