LG (Lucky Goldstar) was founded on October 1st, 1958 in Seoul, South Korea, and eventually became a powerful conglomerate specializing in electronics. In March 1993 they opened Korea's first game development school; some of its graduates formed Sanjiny, LG's internal development team. The company also brought the 3DO console to Korea. LG later mainly focused on publishing local games and distributing foreign ones (such as most Blizzard releases) in Korea.
