Overview edit · view history

CD Projekt S.A. is the current holding company of the CD Projekt Group, as well as the entity to which the Warsaw, Cracow, and Wroclaw offices of CD Projekt RED reside.

Prior to becoming part of CD Projekt, the company was a Polish computer manufacturer established in 2001 as Optimus Technologie S.A. after it split off from Optimus S.A. (who rebranded to Grupa Onet.pl S.A.). Optimus Technologie later renamed themselves to Optimus S.A. in 2002.

In October 2009, after the company had largely halted its operations and attempted to file for bankruptcy, they agreed to a reverse takeover by CDP Investment, the parent company of Polish video game publisher CD Projekt. As part of this, Optimus was renamed to CD Projekt RED S.A. and in 2011 CD Projekt RED Sp. z o.o. was merged into the newly renamed company. CD Project itself, now a subsidiary, would also be renamed to cdp.pl Sp. z o.o. After the merger had finally completed, the company was renamed once more to just CD Projekt S.A.

In 2014, cdp.pl's joint CEOs performed a management buyout, resulting in the distribution arm of the company becoming independent from the CD Projekt Group.

The group currently owns the following subsidiaries:
