Overview edit · view history
Perpetual Entertainment, founded in March 2002, was a San Francisco based producer, publisher, and operator of networked multi-player and massively multi-player games for the PC and consoles.
The company lasted until February 2008 and during that time no game was officially released. In October 2007 the company announced to cease development on the MMORPG Gods & Heroes and the same happened to Star Trek Online in January 2008.
Before going into liquidation, the company transferred all IP and assets to a new company called P2 Entertainment that consisted of the same management. This was done to sell the license for Star Trek Online to Cryptic Studios, Inc. After that, P2 Entertainment closed its doors as well.
The rights to Gods & Heroes was eventually acquired by Heatwave Interactive, Inc. who continued the development of the game and released it in 2011.
