Founded in the United Kingdom in 1999, Babel Media is one of the major drivers behind the growth of outsourcing in the games and interactive entertainment industries. The company offers multi-platform services worldwide including localisation, QA, porting, certification and marketing services. The company was co-founded by Anthony McGaw, Ben Wibberley and Algy Williams.

In July 2008 the company was acquired by India-based Quatrro BPO Solutions. At that time co-founder Williams assumed a non-executive role on the Board of Directors while Wibberley and McGaw were retained as vice presidents. Richard Leinfellner stepped in as the company's CEO. By 2009 the company reported employing more than 600 full-time and freelance personnel.

Babel Media is a registered Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo developer. Headquartered in Brighton (UK), the company has offices in Los Angeles (California USA), New Delhi (India) and Montreal (Canada).
